We invite everyone
Every week, hundreds of millions of people around the world gather on and around the pitch to watch football.
Every week, hundreds of millions of people around the world gather on and around the pitch to play football. There is no corner of the world where people do not kick or juggle a ball together. The passion for the game runs through all layers of society and groups with the most diverse backgrounds. This is also the case in the Netherlands. Millions of people in the Netherlands experience football together in stadiums, on pitches or in the streets.
Football is more than just a sport, it is more than just a game. Football connects people, even people who do not know each other, who do not speak each other's language, who do not know each other's culture. Because in football, everyone speaks the same language: the language of love, love for the ball and love for the game. The way football brings people together is unprecedented and cannot be found anywhere else. Football therefore has the power to change things that cannot be changed in any other way.
Now that the competitions have finally started again after such a long time, there is a greater awareness than ever that playing football together and experiencing football together is something fantastic, something unique that you do every day, something you miss when it's not there and where you show others that the impossible is sometimes possible. On the pitch, off the pitch.
Football is an invitation. An invitation to do things together and enjoy them together. Regardless of race, skin colour, sexual orientation, culture, religion, nationality, gender, or age. Everyone is welcome, and the more people participate, the more differences we can bridge immediately. Because football belongs to everyone.
Our football belongs to everyone
