<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Amsterdam korfball club Swift was the first korfball club in the Netherlands to host a workshop by the John Blankenstein Foundation. On Wednesday evening, 2 September, the junior A1 and A2 teams and their trainers were treated to a workshop led by Thijs de Greeff and Casper Boom.<\/p>\n
In a lively workshop, participants engaged in conversation based on Thijs and Casper's own stories, a little bit of theory and knowledge transfer, interactive working methods and propositions, with the central theme being that everyone was allowed to give their opinion, as long as they explained why they felt that way.<\/p>\n
The workshop concluded with a short quiz, in which captain Jonathan proved to be the smartest and fastest player. He received a beautiful rainbow-coloured captain's armband as a prize. Naturally, the JBF hopes that this armband will be worn with pride!<\/p>\n
The youth players at Swift proved to be an enthusiastic and open-minded group, where acceptance of people who are \u2018different\u2019 is of paramount importance.<\/p>\n
The workshop concluded with a delicious pasta meal, followed by a one-off korfball training session led by Casper Boom.<\/p>\n

De Amsterdamse korfbalclub Swift heeft als allereerste korfbalclub in Nederland een workshop van de John Blankenstein Foundation gehad. De junioren A1 en A2 kregen samen met hun trainers op woensdagavond 2 september een workshop voorgeschoteld onder leiding van Thijs de Greeff en Casper Boom. In een levendige workshop werd er met elkaar het gesprek aangegaan aan de hand van eigen verhalen van Thijs en Casper, klein stukje theorie en kennisoverdracht, interactieve werkvormen en stellingen waarbij centraal stond dat een ieder zijn of haar mening mocht geven, zo lang er maar uitgelegd werd waarom men iets vond. Als afsluiting van de workshop werd er nog een kleine quiz gespeeld, waarbij aanvoerder Jonathan de slimste en snelste speler bleek. Hij kreeg als prijs een mooie aanvoerdersband in regenboogkleuren. Uiteraard hoop de JBF dat deze band met veel trots gedragen zal worden!
